If Questions Came By Instant Messaging

Question from Rachael:
ok i guess i don’t understand how a person can be atheist i mean how can u go through the world knowing that ur going to hell even if u don’t want to believe it

Answer by SmartLX:
Sorry it took so long to get to these next four, but they were incorrectly submitted in the comments of the question submission page instead of using the form, and I’ve worked through the correct submissions first.

It’s quite simple Rachael. If you actually don’t believe in God, you usually don’t believe there’s a Heaven or a Hell either. Removing the existence of God from your worldview doesn’t just leave a Christian worldview with a God-shaped hole cut out of it. The whole afterlife mythology goes out the window (possibly after a long period of “faithdrawal”), and you’re left with one life to live as best you can. So you do that, often with a great deal less fear.

  1. “You are going to hell” That’s the basic theist threat. Alternated with “When you meet god” and similar nonsense. Then there are the false promises of a paradise. Lies and threats, threats and lies. Theist have never had anything else. Too bad, a single verifiable fact would change everything. Yet, for thousands of years, not one theist has ever produce a single fact.

    1. A single fact of what? Of God. What would you consider seeing of God. His face. The Bible says that no man can see His faith and live. So God doesn’t want to kill us. So He can’t show His face. It’s true He showed Moses His backside. But what did Moses have to go through to be able to see that of God. The Bible says that the wicked will be burned up when He comes the second time. How many would be able to saved if Christ shows himself early. We aren’t talking about the fossils that are dug up and the Atheist doesn’t believe show that they support the biblical narrative of Creationism. Show God creates for us an elaborate universe, and decorates this earth with beauty beyond imagination. He constructs organisms so amazingly beautiful and designed better than any person on earth could do. All of this shows that only God could have done this. Some of the brightest minds admit to this. And yet people still refuse to accept the proof. Even though they know that it looks too good to have come from an accidental form of life. So what would you suggest for us to show you. I have told you that if you really want to know if God is, He has already told each of us that if we seek for Him that we will find Him, if we search for Him to find Him. That is promise that He made and He keeps His promise.

  2. Your post is full of contradictions. You prove nothing except that you know very little of your religion. Here we go:

    • John 1:18 “No man hath seen God at any time.”
    • Exodus 33:20 “Thou canst not see my face: for there shall no man see me, and live.”
    • John 6:46 “Not that any man hath seen the Father, save he which is of God [Jesus], he hath seen the Father.”
    • I John 4:12 “No man hath seen God at any time.”
    vs
    • Genesis 32:30 “For I have seen God face to face.”
    • Exodus 33:11 “And the Lord spake unto Moses face to face, as a man speaketh unto his friend.”
    • Isaiah 6:1 “In the year that king Uzziah died I saw also the Lord sitting upon a throne, high and lifted up, and his train filled the temple.”
    • Job 42:5 “I have heard of thee by the hearing of the ear: but now mine eye seeth thee.”

The babble is total, unadulterated nonsense. Read it objectively cover to cover several times as I have. An objective reading will show you the truth and “The truth shall set you free”. That is assuming you are not so brainwashed that yu want to be free.

  3. “The babble is total, unadulterated nonsense. Read it objectively cover to cover several times as I have” For one thing, there have been rulers and princes, poor man and rich, meek and humble and proud, who have taken up God’s word. And even though some of these walked away not accepting Him as God, they have never found God’s word to be “Babble”. It was the reason for which they picked it up. You do not do so to learn. But to criticize. The Bible is not just some book for you to pick up and gain some tidbits of worldly knowledge for worldly gain.
Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation.
21 “For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.” 2 Peter 1. It wasn’t given by man. It was given by God. So to simply pick it up to peruse and superficially read, will not be enough for you to ascertain all that the Bible has to share. The Bible says that we must search and not merely read. “Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me.” John 5:39. And we must go to Him who gave its wisdom and ask for His understanding.
“13 Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come” John 16:13. If you want truth from out of God’s word, you must go to God, either telling Him you don’t believe but you are willing to do so, or bowing down recognizing who you are approaching. But to pick up His Word and carelessly flip through, will not release its secrets. You must ask. of Him. If you go into someone’s house, for the first time, would you wander over the the fridge uninvited and start fending for yourself? No, you would ask or wait for permission. So it is the same for the God of the universe. ” If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.” James 1:5. But there is a promise, God will give that wisdom. (the word upbraideth, means to withhold). But there is a stipulation.
“And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him” Hebrews 11:6. It doesn’t matter if you are mad or not. But you must at least suspect that He is there. And that you are coming to ask and be shown. It is still a promise and God keeps His promises. But you must want to know. And not just partly. “And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.” Jeremiah 29:13. It is either go to find Him and His truth, all of His truth, no matter where that truth will lead, or not. So don’t go half stepping. You either want to know the truth or you don’t. And you must ask. It’s simple, no. But it is necessary. It is His book and you must be willing to remember that you are approaching the God of the universe with the possibility of accepting Him as your God. So approach Him with respect, which will grow more and more as you grow to love Him more and more. As I said earlier, He promised it to us and He will not let us down.

    1. Not one thing you posted even faintly resembles verifiable facts. Yes, many people from all stations in life have been deluded by the lies and myths in the babble. You continue to use those quotes as if they were absolute truths. The fact is you are unable to provide anything but false promises of a paradise and empty threats of a hell. If any religion had more than those lies and threats to offer, they would sweep all other religions and atheism from the earth. Not one theist has ever presented even ONE verifiable fact, Not one, not ever.

Prove your god, or any god, has ever existed. Each time you ignore that challenge and respond with more lies and threats, you are proving I am right and that you are a goddamned (pun intended) delusional fool.

You still don’t understand paragraphs, do you? Why is it that you theists are so often bad at basic English? Does stubborn stupidity in one area of your life have to extend to all areas?

  4. “Not one thing you posted even faintly resembles verifiable facts. Yes, many people from all stations in life have been deluded by the lies and myths in the babble.”
You seem to think that you are in good company. The majority of people who feel like you feel about the Bible are people who would rather live immoral self harming, others harming lives. They kill and molest and seek to please no one else but them, unless by pleasing others they can get something that they want. Christians, endeavor to seek what they can to lift up others and help them to live more fulfilled lives. This is what the Bible is teaching. I’m not sure why you have such animosity towards God and the Bible. Please talk to someone about how you feel. Because for one, you should not feel threatened about God. For one if you don’t feel He exists then why are you feeling like you do about someone who supposedly doesn’t exist. And since I know for sure He exits and He only wishes you the best, so why would you feel like you do. I can understand if it is because some Christians who may have failed to walk as Jesus would want them to. Some do it willingly. Others do it because of us just being human. And humans make mistakes. But God uses us because we are humans, and when we overcome and start hitting on all cylinders, there is no better witness for Him. So please allow me to apologize for anything I or any other Christian may have done to get so far under your skin, that you can’t get rid of that itch. But only God can correct how you feel. And the way you are holding on to whatever it is you’re holding on to is eating you up from the inside out. And it is exuberating through your posts. And it is not healthy. Not only will it keep you from accepting and being saved by your Savior, but it be one of the things on this earth that you could have eliminated to help you enjoy the little you could enjoy on this earth without Christ. Please if you want let’s talk.

    1. You are an astoundingly ignorant, arrogant person. First, atheists do not disdain religion because we want to “live immoral self harming, others harming lives. They kill and molest and seek to please no one else but them, unless by pleasing others they can get something that they want.” That is another lie you christians preach. The fact is, we live doing the right thing because it IS the right thing. We do not need lies and threats to be this way. Apparently, you christians do. You know yourselves best, maybe without your absurd religion you would all be robbing, raping, and killing. The fact that 97% of all the people incarcerated in the USA identify themselves as christians seems to support that idea. I recognize that many pretend to be religious for the advantages it brings them in prison. People outside the walls do the same things for social, professional, and political reasons. Nonetheless, it seems your “moral code” is ineffective to those who are exposed to it the most. With atheists and “nones”comprising over 16% and growing of the population, they are still less than 1% of those in prisons. So you your lie about the morality is obvious.

Next, I do not have animosity toward god. How can you feel that way about something that has never existed. Do you think that environmentalists hate Paul Bunyan for chopping down all those trees? “You hate god” is one more lie you christians constantly use. But truth really has no place in your world does it? As for hating the babble, why not? It is lies and myths, which I can prove. Do you think it is wrong to dislike something that has caused so much dissension and anguish in the world. It teaches people to remain ignorant and to disregard anything resembling a fact and to never question what they are told.

You should talk to someone about your delusions. You will not even admit to the possibility that you could be wrong. As I have said to theists many times, “Shown undeniable proof, will change my mind on anything, including religion.” Then I will ask them as I am asking you, “What will it take to change your mind?” On the very rare occasions I receive any answer at all, it is inevitable, “Nothing will change my mind.” Then the same person will often accuse me of being “closed-minded”. They are too dumb to see the irony in that. They have just stated they are 100% closed-minded and then try to project that insanity upon others.

God does nothing for me or you. Your belief in your delusions is what does it. You cannot show me a single verifiable instance of where god has done anything. Has he ever regrown a limb from someone who lost it fighting for jesus? Why does he allow cancer in innocent children? Why must he “work in mysterious ways” Why not be honest and obvious. It certainly works for me.

Nothing is eating me up. Again, you use another theist lie. That’s not surprising. Your religion is founded upon lies and has never stopped lying.

My savior? You cannot even prove this mythical character ever existed. Show me even ONE contemporary account of the jesus myth. Here is what one of your own has to say about that:

As stated by Dr. Bart Ehrman, Professor of religious studies at the University of North Caroline, Chapel Hill, NC said, “In the entire first Christian century, Jesus is not mentioned by a single Greek or Roman scholar, politician, philosopher, or poet. His name never appears in a single inscription, and it is never found in a single piece of private correspondence. Zero! Zip references!”

The first mention of any jesus, even in the babble is in Mark, written from 40 to 110 years after the alleged events. (depending upon which biblical “scholar” you choose to believe) Do you think it is at all strange that a person that was supposed to have such influence politically, socially, and religiously was never mentioned even once in official or unofficial documents, letters or anywhere at all. Don’t bother with the Josephus BS, either. He was not even born until 36 or 37 CE and probably didn’t start writing for some years after that. The one very brief mention in his writings of any jesus is strongly suspected of being a forgery inserted at a later date.

Here are some more points to consider:

A Few Noticeable Events in the Life of Jesus

Herod’s slaughter of all the baby boys in Bethlehem.

Jesus’ triumphant entry in Jerusalem, where the entire town welcomes him as their king.

Jesus casting out the greedy money changers. (in an area about the size of 34 football fields)

      Two earthquakes hit Jerusalem.

Supernatural darkness covers “all the land” for hours.

The Sacred Temple curtain tears from top to bottom.

All the dead holy men in the cemetery come out of their graves and wander Jerusalem, “appearing to many.”

And yet, contemporary historians in the time of Jesus didn’t write about any of this.

You are jousting with someone that knows far more about your religion and your babble than you do. I also have access to more resources than you do. If you had anything but nonsense, you would have brought it out immediately. You are doing nothing but spouting the same BS you theists have been doing for centuries. You come across as arrogant, condescending, judgemental unforgiving, and bigoted. That is, like a typical christian.Instead of debating, all you can do is try to lecture. I don’t blame you for that, debating requires verifiable facts and you have none at all.

When you have something new to bring to the table or a verifiable fact, bring it out. Until then, slither back to your chapel on intentional ignorance.

BTW, learn to use paragraphs. Your text looks like the work of an uneducated buffoon.
